Your Travel Card can be used everywhere MasterCard® is accepted electronically (it won't work with the old 'zip zap' machines). This gives you the convenience and security to pay at more than 25 million locations worldwide.
Shopping
Use your National Bank Travel Card just like a credit card. Although it’s not a credit card, you’ll need to select ‘credit’ before entering your PIN into the EFTPOS terminal. Because your card has a chip, retailers may insert your card and keep it in the EFTPOS terminal while you enter your PIN and the transaction is processed.
Online
Your Travel Card is great for making purchases online from overseas websites like Amazon.com or Ebay.com.
ATM
Because your National Bank Travel Card is a MasterCard®, you have access to the world’s largest ATM network. That means you can rest assured there’ll be an ATM you can use close by, wherever you are. Use the MasterCard® ATM locator at www.mastercard.com to find an ATM close to you. Cash Withdrawal Fees apply.
Using your Card in other currencies
You can still use your National Bank Travel Card for purchases in currencies other than your card’s currency. Transactions that aren’t in your card’s currency will be converted at the applicable currency conversion rate and will be subject to the Currency Conversion Fee. Details about the charges, how MasterCard® sets the exchange rate and other applicable fees can be found in this guide or in The National Bank Travel Card Conditions of Use
Your Back-up Card
We have given you a Back-up card just in case something happens while you’re away. We suggest that you keep your two cards separate i.e. one in your wallet for everyday use, and the other in your luggage or somewhere safe. If you lose one card you can continue to use the other, just make sure you call us and report your card lost on +44 1 733 294 440.;
